Jameson Distillery-Whiskey Tasting Tour

We did the whiskey tasting tour and were there for a little over an hour.  We had arrived earlier than our time slot and were able to do our tour sooner than expected.  Which was great!  

Before the tour started, we sat at the bar for a bit and enjoyed a drink.  I can’t remember the name of it, but the picture is shown above. Please, shoutout if you know! They were really good!!  

Once the tour began, we were given a choice to pick one of two different kinds of cocktails or a whiskey shot.  This was the free voucher drink.  We chose the lemon cocktail, which was tasty 😋.  Tip:  I recommend the cocktail because you will be drinking straight whiskey during the tasting.  

Then we were brought into a room where the tour guide explained how whiskey was made and information was given to us about different types of whiskey.  It was interesting and informative.  You won’t see the actual whiskey being made in real time though if that’s what you’re looking to do. 

After that we entered another room where there were 3 different kinds of whiskeys to taste.  First you smell, then you taste.  It was interesting to see what everyone preferred. I liked the distillery batch the best!  

On the way out there is a gift shop.  We picked up Jameson chocolates, which were tasty and fun 😋!  

If you’re visiting Dublin, I recommend doing this tour.  We had such a fun time!  The tour guide was enthusiastic, informative, and engaging.  The drinks were really good!  It was a low key and non-chaotic atmosphere.  Really a great experience!!
